About MBA Golf
The Master Builders Australia golf movement owes its existence to the Annual National Tournament. A loose coalition of state and regional Master Builders social golf clubs, the national body, whilst only recently being incorporated (see below), has been the organisation behind one of the nation's most enduring, and possibly the oldest, continual golf tournament of its type.
The engine room driving this coalition is the bi-annual Captain's Meeting, where delegates from each state/region gather at the invitation of the incumbent tournament host in order to review, plan anew or adjudicate on the issues integral to the conduct of the Annual Tournament.
Master Builders Golf aspires to the highest ideals of one of the finest self regulated sports in the world and is by association with the State & Regional participating clubs, committed to raise the level of interest and participation in the Game of Golf within the Master Builders' movement and the construction industry in general.
The Annual National Tournament is the ideal implement to promote this outcome. Initiated in 1959 and hosted on a rotational basis by the participating State and Regional Clubs, this five day event is a coming together of the golf appreciative echelon of the nation's building industry, sharing golf, dining and good will in the renewal of long term friendships or the forging of new links into the future.
